Fouled Anchor Safety LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps") collect, use, disclose, and otherwise handle your personal information.
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our applications including: IH Toolbox, FaultLine, RadAegis, LabAegis, JHA Rapid, and SpaceScore.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Username, email address, password
- Professional Information: Job title, organization, professional certifications (CIH, CSP, RSO, etc.)
- Safety Data: Inspection records, incident reports, hazard assessments, JHA documents, measurements, calculations, and other professional safety documentation you create within the app
- Veteran Status (Optional): For veteran discount verification (honor-system based, no verification required)
- Communication Data: Messages you send through support or feedback features
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
- Usage Information: Features accessed, time spent in app, crash logs, performance metrics
- Location Data: Precise GPS location only when you explicitly enable GPS features (hazard photo tagging, measurement tagging). Location data is NOT collected or transmitted unless you actively use location-dependent features
2.3 CloudKit Synchronization
When you enable cloud synchronization, your app data is stored on Apple's iCloud servers through CloudKit. This includes safety inspection records, incident documentation, JHA documents, professional notes, and user preferences.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing Services: Delivering app functionality, safety calculations, compliance tracking, and professional features
- CloudKit Sync: Synchronizing your data across your Apple devices
- Communications: Responding to support inquiries and sending critical app updates
- Analytics & Improvement: Understanding how you use our apps to improve features and performance (anonymized data only)
- Veteran Verification: Processing veteran discount verification based on honor-system attestation
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 Information We Do NOT Share
Your personal safety data, incident reports, JHA documents, and professional information are NOT shared with third parties, except as required by law or with your explicit consent.
4.2 Information We May Share
- Service Providers: Apple (CloudKit infrastructure), analytics providers, and app maintenance vendors only as necessary to provide services
- AI Services (JHA Rapid): When using AI-powered JHA generation, job step descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government request
- Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction
4.3 Team Features (FaultLine)
If you use team collaboration features, your data may be shared with other authorized team members based on role-based access controls you configure.
5. Data Retention
- Safety Records: Retained as long as you maintain your account, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Account Information: Retained for as long as your account is active
- Usage Analytics: Anonymized usage data retained for up to 12 months
- Backups: Cloud backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion
6. Data Security
We implement comprehensive security measures including TLS/SSL encryption for data transmission, CloudKit encryption at rest on Apple's servers, role-based access controls, and regular security assessments. No security system is 100% secure; you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
7. Your Privacy Rights
You can access and modify your account information within the app or by contacting support@fouledanchorsafety.com. You may request deletion of your account and associated data within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under CCPA; EU residents have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and data portability.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are designed for professional safety professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Apple Privacy & Permissions
- Camera: To capture hazard photos and evidence (IH Toolbox, FaultLine)
- Photo Library: To upload and manage photos within the app
- Location Services: To tag measurements and hazards with GPS coordinates
- Microphone: For voice capture notes (FaultLine); for ambient noise measurement (SpaceScore)
We respect Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements. We do not track users across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy with an updated "Last Updated" date.
